Let's Brainstorm

Welcome to our brainstorming session. I hope you all brought some fabulous thoughts. This is going to be like those kinds of exercises you used to have in school or church activities where you are presented with a problem and you have to work together to find a solution. Are you ready??? Here we go.

There once was a girl. She had never been a good sleeper. She cannot takes naps, it has to be dark when she sleeps, and many others things like that. This girl has been struggling getting a good night sleep for a while now. Recently her sleeping situation has gotten worse. There was one night where she did not get any sleep at all. Another night, she was unable to get to sleep until 4, and one night she even tried sleeping in her car (YIKES). She has tried to find ways to make sure she gets to sleep at night including getting the right temperature (She can't sleep if it is too warm), pain control, eating a small bit so the hunger pains don't keep her awake, using ear plugs and not eating chocolate after 9 p.m.

She is at her wit's end and is now looking for some helpful ideas on how to get some sleep. What are some things that may help this girl sleep? Let's make this a lively discussions so that this girl can get some sleep as soon as possible.

PLEASE!!!

Reading the B.O.M., seriously. I heard it from a lady who had a hard time sleeping (so this is only 2nd hand). She prayed about it and that is what she came up with. It helped her. Good luck to you! :) Not sleeping is NO FUN!!

Try melatonin. Natural remedy. There's actually a ton of other natural stuff but I can't remember what it is. Also - if you do some deep breathing, or some relaxation exercises it might help. My brothers have the same problems so if you run out of options - let me know! I'll hit them up about it!

Thanks for your suggestions! They are very helpful. I am trying naturally to increase melatonin (such as moderating the light flow at certain times of the day and making sure I get some natural light, which could be hard come winter.) Also, I make sure that I read a little bit in the Book of Mormon before bed. So far, I have been sleeping better than the last couple of weeks, which is fabulous!!!

I hear walking barefoot in the grass or sand helps get rid of static electricity in your body and causes a good nights worth of rest. Also there is a thing called melatonin. You can buy it at the wonderful Shangri La.
